Apart from the great needs as indicated above, we have many shared values with Ethiopia:

• Independent spirit. Ethiopia was only colonised for a short period so its people are proud and dignified.
• Have a culture of self-help, even in poverty

• Are quick to make the most of the advantages we offer
• Acknowledge and support the importance of demonstrating transparency of accounting.

In purely pragmatic terms, these shared values make projects relatively easy to implement.
